TheIndependent Advisor
We started this because farmers and small business owners deserve someone in their corner.
Running a farm or a small business already asks enough of you: the seasons, the markets, the people, the paperwork. On top of all that, you're expected to trust a long list of advisors with some of the biggest decisions you'll ever make: your bank, your finance broker, your insurer, your accountant, your agronomist, your machinery dealer. Most of these relationships are genuinely helpful, and most of the people in them are doing their best by you.
But many also carry a financial relationship with someone else: a commission, a referral fee, a rebate, a shared ownership stake. That isn't always visible from where you're sitting, and it can occasionally work against your interests rather than for them. That's the gap we exist to close. Our mission is to shine a light on exactly how these relationships work, in plain language, so you have more information to make your decisions and a clearer understanding of the risks involved. We're not here to tell you who to trust or what to choose. We're here so the decision, which is always yours, is a genuinely informed one.
